A lonely girl finds a glowing wolf who teaches her she’s never alone. 544 words |
Once, in a quiet village where the wind whispered through tall grasses and the stars seemed close enough to touch, there lived a girl named Lara. Lara had kind eyes and a soft voice, but she often felt alone and a little sad. The other children laughed and played, yet Lara preferred the quiet moments of life, where she could listen to the wind and watch the sky. One evening, just as the sun melted into the horizon, Lara heard a faint sound near the edge of the forest. A whimper, and a howl that sounded like a baby wolf. She followed it carefully, her heart beating just a little faster, until she found a small wolf cub curled beneath a bush. His fur was pale like mist, and his eyes shimmered like starlight. “Oh,” she whispered, kneeling beside him. “You’re all alone, aren’t you? Are you lost?” The pup looked up at her, and though he said no words, Lara felt something warm fill her chest. To her, it was as if he understood her. She wrapped him gently in her shawl and carried him home. That night, as Lara sat by the window holding the little wolf, something magical happened. The moonlight poured into the room like silver water… and the pup began to glow. “Lara,” a soft voice said. The little wolf cub spoke to her. She gasped. “Did… did you say something?” “I am called Luma,” the wolf said. “I am a Moon-Wolf. I was sent to you by my wolf pack angel. She told me to bring you love and understanding.” Lara’s eyes widened. “A wolf… from the sky?” Luma nuzzled closer to her. “Yes. And you found me.” From that night on, Lara was happier and fell in love with her furry friend. Luma stayed by her side, and together they walked through fields, listened to the wind, and watched the stars. Sometimes, when no one else was looking, Luma’s fur would shimmer like moonlight, and Lara would laugh and talk with him. But one evening, as the full moon rose high and bright, Luma grew quiet. “It’s time,” he said gently. Lara held him tighter. “Time for what?” “To go home.” Tears filled her eyes. “But… I don’t want you to go.” Luma looked up at her with soft, glowing eyes. “You were never meant to keep me. You were meant to find me… and to remember that you are never truly alone.” Lara’s heart ached, but she nodded. That night, beneath the silver light of the moon, she carried Luma back to the forest. As the moonlight touched him, he began to rise slowly, like a whisper drifting into the sky. “Will I see you again?” Lara called. Luma’s voice shimmered in the air. “Every time you look at the moon.” And then he was gone. But from that night on, whenever Lara felt lonely, she would step outside, look up at the glowing moon, and smile. Because she knew… Somewhere in the stars, her Moon-Wolf was watching over her. The moral of the story: Even when we feel alone, love and connection never truly leave us. They stay in our hearts and can be found in the quiet beauty around us. |
