Well, a new month is upon us. I groan slightly as I stretch and try to wake up. I had just heard something wild, about good fortune for 30 days, with just a quick phrase. Now what was it? Not remembering exactly, I tried mouthing a few different phrases, like "luck is with me" and other nonsensical things. Then, it hit me...Rabbit, rabbit, or white rabbits, or something equally silly. I chuckle to myself, and ask, what's the worst that can happen? One really shouldn't ask those types of questions unless one is willing to find out. *FacePalm*

So, I mumble to myself "Bunny, Bunny", and drag myself out of bed for some much needed coffee. Why I choose that wording, I'll never really know. But it was done, and I was on my way to get through this new month. Coffee in hand, back to the bedroom to get dressed for the day. I had a doctor's appointment first thing, and then I needed to get my new glasses picked up from the store, and also time to pay rent. First of the month, right? LOL.
I get dressed, and then I promptly spilled coffee on my shirt. Ugh! Well, I quickly changed my shirt and grabbed my purse. I set the coffee cup in the sink on my way out the door.

The doctor's appointment was routine. I'd get yelled at softly from the doctor, head shaking as she read out my lab numbers. "You really need to get a hold of your numbers. Medicine can only do so much." I sheepishly nod my agreement, and wonder how long I would even attempt to try and do better. Exercise, eating, all of that. Sometimes, it's just easier to go with the flow, right? I left the office with some vague promises of being better for next time. I don't know if the doctor really hoped I'd change, or if she was just was getting ready for her next patient. Well, on to the next item on my list. Picking up my new glasses wasn't too bad. I just had to wait a bit for a technician to measure my glasses and adjust them so I could go on my way. I doom scrolled on my phone for a few minutes, and then I got measured and my two pair of glasses, and was on my way.

Rent time. I headed over to the landlord's house and pulled into the driveway. I muttered and cursed myself as I realized that I had gone across town to find out that I had left the rent on my desk at home. Ugh!! Well, a wasted trip. I headed back to my house, and got the rent envelope, then I drove back across town and finally got rent paid. Grumbling to myself, it was time for lunch already. I wasn't really hungry, but didn't want to go too long before eating something, as I decided to skip breakfast this morning. Too many things to choose from, so I gave up and decided I'd eat some toast or a sandwich at home.

Peanut butter and jelly with a glass of milk. It's basic, and easy to make, and I didn't have to spend a lot of extra money for it. I took a big bite of my sandwich, and, of course, I dropped a big glop of jelly on my shirt. Really? Ugh, part three. I finished the sandwich and changed my shirt (again). I got a load of wash ready to do, and was just a little wound up for the day. For some reason, I Googled the good luck phrase and found out it was indeed Rabbit, rabbit. What had I mumbled this morning? "Bunny, Bunny". I Googled Bunny, bunny and found out that it was NOT the same as Rabbit, rabbit. I rolled my eyes and said to myself "It figures". At this rate, I was going to have lots of laundry to do this month. I'm glad I don't have any more rent payments to make this month, and I've already gotten the doctors out of the way. Extra laundry was something I could deal with, but before I could say it out loud, I heard a loud thwack, thwack in my kitchen. What in the world? It was my washing machine. Something came loose, or who knows what? There was water everywhere on the floor, and I rushed to the machine to shut it off. Sighing, I grabbed some towels and the mop. Extra laundry? The laundromat? A new machine? Ughhh!!! This month is not starting off so well! I think I'll keep the "good luck" phrases to myself, or at least be completely awake before I mutter them.
